Models WSC/WDC/WCC

Centrifugal chillers are a significant investment in your building system. You need a chiller that offers a return on that investment throughout its life cycle. Whether your system is air conditioning or process cooling, new construction or renovation, Daikin can certificate chillers are the right choice with real benefits for your bottom line. Dual compressor models WDC and WCC can provide installed cost savings up to 35% compared to installing two separate chillers by reducing piping, valves, controls, rigging and control wiring. Component redundancy connected to the evaporator and condenser enhances reliability. If any compressor component fails, it can be removed or repaired without shutting down the other compressor.

Ranging from 300 to 2,500 tons, centrifugal chillers offer excellent followed and part load performance for increased energy savings and an excellent lifetime return on your investment, where dual compressor models offer system redundancy like having two separate chillers at a lower installed cost. Dual compressor models occupy less floor space than having multiple single compressor chillers while delivering equivalent combined capacities, in addition to eliminating hardware and rigging costs associated with multiple units. Using R-134a or R-513A refrigerant, these chillers these only integrate with building automation systems, are seismic compliant, quiet and have a wide operating range to allow operating at varying lift conditions. When building access and floor space is limited, the chiller’s reduced footprint and knockdown option allow entry into tight corridor and equipment rooms, making them ideal for both new and replacement applications.

Spec Hook Tips

  • R-134a or R-513A (lower GWP) refrigerant available
  • Smallest footprint per ton in the industry to optimize equipment room space
  • Unmatched unloading due to compressor design with movable diffuser geometry
  • Quiet compressor with unique refrigerant injection system to absorb sound energy
  • Easy to retrofit with bolt-together construction for easy disassembly and re-assembly at the job site
  • Unit-mounted or free-standing Variable Frequency drives help to provide superior part-load efficiency
  • Seismic compliance with both IBC seismic certification standards and HCAI (OSPHD) pre-approval
  • Controls flexibility – MicroTech® controls allow easy integration with your BAS of choice using LonWorks®, BACnet® or Modbus® communication
  • Dual compressor models eliminate piping to the second chiller and additional pumps
  • Dual compressor models require fewer valves, controls and wiring, with less rigging costs compared to installing two single compressor units

Applications

Centrifugal chillers meet a variety of project sizes and performance requirements, saving space for building owners who want lower installed cost savings while achieving a wide variety of capacities.
